The 2026 – 2027 programme
The AI x Engineering Pioneer Program is a free, year-long series of seven hands-on activities at City University of Hong Kong for primary and secondary students, teachers and parents. It runs from October 2026 to December 2027. At its centre is the Hong Kong Innovators Summit, where student teams develop AI solutions to real-world problems and the finalists present to industry and academic judges on 10 April 2027. Around the Summit, the programme offers two teacher seminars on using AI in the classroom and in school administration. It also includes a parent-child workshop, a mentor-training tutorial for secondary students, a children's AI playground for P4–P6 pupils, and engineering hackathons led by eight CityUHK departments.
